General Questions¶
Getting Started¶
What is Hydron?
Hydron is a hardware-native AI coding assistant built for embedded and system software engineers. It provides spec-aware code generation grounded in our Hardware Knowledge Graph, context-indexed understanding of codebases, datasheets, schematics, and BSPs, along with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) functionality.
How do I get started?
Install the Hydron CLI or your preferred IDE extension, sign up at hydron.h2loop.ai, and start generating spec-aware code grounded in our pre-indexed datasheets or your own.
What data sources can I upload for context?
You can upload custom datasheets, schematics, BSPs, and PDF documents for hardware context indexing in the Projects tab. You can also upload entire codebases and GitHub repositories to add as project context. This grounds Hydron's code generation for the specific hardware you're working with.
Where can I access pre-indexed hardware?
You can access over 500 pre-indexed components in the Hardware Registry, available in both the VS Code Extension and the CLI.
Accounts & Teams¶
Can I share my account with teammates?
No. Account credentials (username, password, and API keys) cannot be shared, and multiple users cannot access Hydron through a single account.
How do I set up Hydron for my team?
Purchase multiple seats under one of our paid tiers. You will be assigned as the organization admin and can then allocate seats to your teammates.
Do you have an enterprise plan?
Yes. Large teams and organizations can contact support@h2loop.ai to discuss enterprise plans, DPAs, and SLAs. We offer a separate Hydron Enterprise Terms of Service that is customized for each entity.
What happens if my account is compromised?
Notify us immediately at support@h2loop.ai. You remain responsible for all activity under your account, so prompt notification is critical.
Projects & Collaboration¶
How do I create a new project?
Navigate to hydron.h2loop.ai/projects and click the Create Project button.
How many projects can I create?
The number of projects you can create depends on your subscription plan.
Can I collaborate with team members?
Yes. You can collaborate with team members on our paid plans (Pro, Pro+, and MAX). You can share projects, assign roles, and generate code with shared context and data sources.
How do I add team members?
You must be on a paid plan to add team members. Once you purchase multiple seats, you will get access to an admin dashboard to invite your team members.
Safety & Acceptable Use¶
Can I use Hydron for medical, automotive, or aerospace firmware?
While Hydron can generate code for these verticals, it is not explicitly certified for safety-critical applications — including medical device firmware, automotive functional safety systems, aerospace flight-critical software, nuclear control systems, or defence applications. Generated Outputs must not be deployed in such applications without independent regulatory validation.
How reliable is the generated code?
Generated Outputs are produced by AI and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. They are provided for informational and assistive purposes only — not as a substitute for engineering judgment. All outputs must be independently reviewed, tested, and validated by qualified engineers before deployment.
What about Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) interactions?
HIL features may execute actions on physical hardware based on Generated Outputs. You are solely responsible for supervising and validating any interaction between Hydron and your hardware, and for implementing appropriate safeguards including human oversight and fail-safes.
How do I report a security issue or bug?
Email support@h2loop.ai with details including reproduction steps, your environment (OS, IDE, extension version), and any relevant logs. For copyright infringement notices, use the subject line "Copyright Infringement Notice".
Preview Features & Service Changes¶
What are "preview" features?
Features labeled as preview or experimental are provided as-is without warranty and may change or be discontinued at any time. Use is at your sole risk — we cannot be held liable for damages arising from these features.
Is uptime guaranteed?
No uptime commitment is made for standard subscription tiers. Service Level commitments are available only under separate Enterprise agreements. Contact support@h2loop.ai to discuss enterprise SLAs.
